What We Do In That Event ?

Jakarta – The University of Hasanuddin (UnHas) is one of the largest national universities in Indonesia, located in Makassar. They are actively seeking to develop the knowledge and insight to continually advance their studies in the agriculture sector. On the other hand, Nippon Koei Co., Ltd. (NK) is a highly reputable consulting company that aims to expand its business through the business incubation concept to the various sectors. On March 6, 2024, at the University of Hasanuddin Campus in Makassar, these two parties agreed to sign a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) for collaborative research in Agriculture Product Distribution that will benefit both sides in numerous aspects.

Alongside the MoA signing ceremony, NK acted as a guest lecturer in UnHas to share knowledge about New Business Development and Incubation with over 150 students in attendance. Mr. Koji Otsuka, General Manager of NK’s Business Incubation Office in Business Strategy Operations, took the role of the guest lecturer to share his knowledge.

In the implementation of the MoA, UnHas and NK are working together to develop a new business concept for distributing agriculture products using digital platforms such as mobile applications and websites. NK has taken the role of an agriculture engineer, considering the business model and platform development, while UnHas is responsible for data collection, field surveys, coordination, and progress management. With NK’s rich experience in agriculture development and business operations on an international scale, they may provide significant contributions to UnHas and its students to get deeper insights into the study of agriculture and business.

Furthermore, NK has an interest to continue expanding business operations beyond engineering consulting business and welcome new business opportunities.
