Geohazard Management Services

Protecting your assets means acting before risk becomes reality.

We live in a dynamic natural environment where disaster risks are ever-present and often unpredictable. In Indonesia, as one of the world’s most disaster-prone countries, effective risk awareness and strategic planning are essential to protect lives, infrastructure, and investments.

Our Geohazard Management services provide a proactive approach to identifying, assessing, and mitigating disaster risks. By combining technical expertise with strategic insight and our advanced technology, we help ensure that your infrastructure and assets remain secure and resilient against potential geohazards.

We provide our clients with the best quality engineering consulting services in all disciplines to take projects through all phases of the project.

We provide a full range of engineering consulting services to support the basic infrastructure for nations worldwide. Our goal is to help build safe and secure living spaces, vibrant communities, and sustainable environments.

In addressing complex challenges in the field of geohazard management, our strength lies in the synergy between our broad spectrum of technical expertise and our advanced research and development facilities. We are not only equipped with a diverse range of specialized disciplines but also supported by an in-house laboratory that is meticulously designed and equipped with cutting-edge technology.

Through this unique combination, we are able to develop innovative and practical solutions that are both effective and efficient, tailored to meet the specific needs of our clients. Our team continuously refines and advances new technologies, ensuring that our approaches remain at the forefront of industry standards and best practices.

Our Technology: 3D Multi-Hazard Map

To support this integrated approach, we utilize a range of advanced technologies to translate complex geohazard data into clear, decision-oriented insights.

Among these, our customized 3D multi-hazard mapping serves as a powerful visualization tool, integrating multiple risk factors into a single, spatially coherent platform. These maps combine terrain data, geological conditions, and hazard-specific analyses, such as seismic activity, slope instability, and flood exposure within an intuitive 3D environment.

By visualizing how different risks interact across a site, clients can more clearly identify high-risk zones, compare alternative locations, and evaluate land suitability for development. This enables more informed decision-making, particularly in the early stages of project planning and site selection.

Sundhuli Road was one of the few roads in Nepal that did not close in the major earthquake ofApril 2015. As a result, it allowed transportation to flow from Kathmandu just after theearthquake. It provided a usable route for refugees that proved safe and reliable. In addition toengaging in the planning, investigation, design, and supervision to build this 160 km road, NKdesigned the pressing embankment, ground anchor, cribwork, and supervised the construction.

From this project, NK was honored for the achievement and received the “3rd Japan ConstructionInternational Award” by the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism (MLIT) Japan in March 2020. This award was established to commend a representative “high-qualityinfrastructure” overseas construction project.

Some important points for winning the awards are included:

1. High acclaim from the Nepalese Government as a technology that should be used infuture road construction.

2. Tough road construction that had kept traffic and transporting relief supplies even afterthe Nepal earthquake in 2015.

3. Implementation of the project with the best social considerations, even during politicaland social turmoil, in cooperation with government officials.
